Punjab Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu is probably not a part of the ‘jatha’ which goes to pay obeisance on the Kartarpur Sahib gurdwara in Pakistan on Thursday.
On Wednesday night time, Sidhu’s media adviser Surinder Dalla claimed that Sidhu has been formally intimated that he may just move on November 20 as an alternative of November 18.
“Sidhu saab had made all arrangements for going to the Kartarpur Sahib gurdwara the next day to come,” stated Dalla, including that he used to be meant to head with the Punjab Cupboard ministers.
Sidhu had submitted his software on Tuesday for travelling to the ancient shrine in Pakistan to provide prayers, he added.
Punjab Leader Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, along side his ministers, shall be a part of the ‘jatha’ (team) which can consult with the Kartarpur Sahib gurdwara on Thursday, officers stated.
Some MLAs and a couple of officers can even accompany Channi, they stated.
The Kartarpur Hall, which hyperlinks Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan, the general resting position of Sikhism founder Guru Nanak Dev, to Dera Baba Nanak shrine in Gurdaspur district, reopened on Wednesday.
Gurpurab, which marks the beginning anniversary of Guru Nanak, shall be celebrated on November 19. Pilgrimage to the Kartarpur Sahib gurdwara used to be suspended in March 2020 because of the Covid pandemic.
